CALL TO ACTION! Demand Gov. Reynolds call a special session to: Fix the Vaccine Passport Bill!
HF889-Vaccine Passport “Almost” Ban bill that was passed in May of this year has lead to issues of discrimination, denial of care, threatened loss of employment, and invasion of privacy for Iowans all across the state. Legislators said that if there were issues they would come back and fix this bill. Trinity health announced its initiative to require the vaccine for multiple mercyOne locations across the state threatening the jobs of nurses, staff, and doctors. Many other care facilities have already done the same earlier this year. Large corporations across the nation such as Morgan Stanley & JP Morgan Chase have also chosen to bar unvaccinated employees from their facilities that will likely move other large corporations to do the same, regardless of the small financial penalties that a state might threaten.
Iowans have been denied care due to not wanting to disclose their vaccine status or because they haven’t been vaccinated.
Employers are discriminating against and invading the privacy of their employees, disclosing to others the status of their fellow employees working around them through forced testing of the unvaccinated, forced masking of the unvaccinated, or through other identifiers such as stickers that say “I’m vaccinated” despite the fact the constitution protects individuals in this country and the vaccine has still NOT been shown to disrupt transmission.
Schools are finding ways to implement testing and masking around the mask ban bill and the vaccine passport ban bill.
Clearly this bill has caused issues and the overreaching COVID policies ARE NOT going away on their own.

And tell her to call a special session to FIX the shortsighted Vaccine Passport Bill and to protect Iowan’s right to LIFE. More than 9000 deaths have been reported to HHS and over 400,000 people have suffered reportable reactions. It is high time the constitution is upheld so all people have the right to bodily autonomy, to privacy, to the free exercise of their religious beliefs (which can be impacted by this product), and above all the RIGHT TO LIFE.
Please also encourage your specific legislators to do the same, encourage the Governor to call a special session and fix this bill.
